Our group recently need people from shooting department to take the exam of distinguished our planes from enemy's. However, I don't think they will get good grades on it. Since you're graduated from national taiwan university, and thus i think you can perform well even you're not from shooting department.

The argument made by Lan's senior concluded that Lan should take the exam just because he can perform better than people from shooting department. To support this, the writer claims that Lan can get higher grades because he has been graduated from National Taiwan University. At first glance, the writer's argument seems to be somewhat appealing; however, I do not find this argument logically convincing because the conclusion rests on the unsound assumption that people who graduated from higher education will perform better than any other else in any situation.
First of all, in this argument, the senior presumptuously links higher educational background to better performance in any aspect. There is no guarantee this is the case. Apparently, the author failed to consider other factors may also affect the result. For example(要提出對照類的故事), people with higher educational degree mastering in Accounting have difficulty fixing the broken engines. Furthermore, the senior fail to take into account possible explanations for having well performance on exam. There are other factors such as experiences from
Secondly(/In addition), since the exam is assumed to be taken by people in shooting department, it is designed to evaluate their learning outcomes. Making an unrelated person to take the exam completely distorts the original intent of the exam and thus make the grades meaningless. As a result, I don't think the senior should ask Lan for taking the exam.(此不構成論述邏輯上的錯誤,只能說前提在事實上是錯了的)
In conclusion, there are several factors in better performance. The author should offer other evidences to support his assumption that people from NTU perform better than others. Additionally, making people to take the exam which should have been taken by others totally distort the original intent of the exam. Obviously,
